Tree Care

Tree Care covers a broad spectrum of operations carried out by the company. Contracted by a variety of Local Authorities, domestic Clients and commercial organisations our dedicated team are able to offer the complete tree care package, from advice on tree maintenance and planting to pruning and aftercare. Through the range of services we provide we are able to ensure your job runs smoothly and professionally form start to finish with minimal disruption.

Tree Felling

Our staff are experienced in tree felling and are able to take on the challenges of the most taxing trees to be removed. We can carry our tree removal operation in both densely populated urban areas where access is a real challenge or equally in more spacious environments. Tree Felling in many environments will require the implementation of sectional felling techniques where our staff either use mechanical platforms to access the crown of the tree or climbing techniques where this is not possible. Necessary branches are then carefully lowered to the ground to ensure no damage is caused to any surrounding properties.

All sites are risk assessed prior to commencement of any works and our team are more than happy to spend time with you to ensure you are completely satisfied with how the work will be carried out. All staff are qualified to NPTC standards and all works unless specifically requested are carried out in accordance with B3998:2010.

An arborist is an individual that professionally maintains the cultivation and study of individual trees and focuses on the health and safety of these individuals. At SP Landscapes, we have a dedicated team of arboriculturalists which pride themselves on the maintenance and care that is needed when it comes to certain species of tree, shrubs, vines and perennial woody plants. In conjunction with this, we carry out various arboricultural operations for a number of district councils and highway authorities throughout East Anglia as well as commercial and domestic tree care and ground maintenance.

Stump Grinding

In order to offer a full range of arboricultural services, the company owns and operates stump grinders for the removal of unwanted tree stumps after felling. Stump grinding is a less intrusive operation than complete stump removal and by using excavators, does not leave as much mess or require the same level of access. We are able to grind stumps to approximately 300mm below ground level and either level the arising on site or remove them, backfill the hole with topsoil and either seed or turf the area leaving no trace of the stump. Our team of operators are fully qualified and have removed stumps in a variety of locations, our range of machines allows us to access the smallest of areas or carry out works to much larger stumps in easily accessible locations.

Tree Management

Tree Management is an important factor to consider when evaluating tree stock. We are able to offer tree management plans for areas of woodland and carry our surveys and inspection on individual trees or entire sites. We are able to arrange sophisticated picus tomograph surveys through an approved base of contractors.
