Sponsorship
As part of our commitment to the local community and its residents we are involved in a number of projects and sponsorship schemes. These include donating to the East Anglian Air Ambulance, supporting our local community centre (www.rlmcsuffolk.co.uk) by carrying out the grounds maintenance for free, supporting local schools with their work experience students and donating teams of staff for local projects such as litter picking in the South Cambridgeshire area and helping community groups with various improvement projects.
We also support Newmarket in Blooms hanging basket scheme and Newmarket Town Councils annual carnival by donating lorries and drivers for the day.
The company sponsors a board at Ridgeons Premier League side Mildenhall Town Football Club www.mildenhalltownfc.co.uk and also sponsors the kit of player manager Simon Charlton as well as helping out with the maintenance of the sports ground free of charge.
We also sponsor a category each year at the well attended Wayland Agricultural show www.waylandshow.com in Norfolk. The Wayland Agricultural Society is a voluntary organisation running events to raise money for local charities and good causes.
S P Landscapes and Tree Contractors Ltd is a proud Sponsor of MVRD Suzuki www.mvr-d.co.uk rider Carl Nunn who competes in the British MX1 Championships, Red Bull Pro Nationals Championship and various other high level motocross events including the motocross of nations.
Carl is based locally to the company and is a real sporting success for the area and represents what can be achieved by younger riders if they apply themselves and for that reason the company is happy to support him and the MVRD Suzuki team.
After many years as a high profile rider on the international scene Carl made the decision to concentrate his efforts on racing in the UK. During 2009 this has proven to be a smart move as Carl won the Red Bull Pro national Championship and this years Van Slam event bagging himself a VW transporter van for the year! In addition he also won the 2009 British Supercross.
The end of the 2009 season saw a slight turn for the worse as Carl fractured his left fibula. This was unfortunate as Carl had been selected to represent the UK at the motocross of nations in Italy. This event sees 3 of the best riders selected from each country to battle it out against all of the other attending nations.
The company will continue to offer its support to local charities and organisations in the future as we feel it is important to give something back to the communities which provide us with our livelihood especially during times of economic uncertainty.
